Xin Dong • Founder & Director
Xin was born in Wuhan and grown up in Guangzhou since 10 years old. After she graduated from Sun Yet-Sen University, Guangzhou, she came to the US for graduate school and obtained a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. In 2012, she moved with her husband to the Bay Area. While exploring work interests and values in the Bay Area, she had an opportunity to teach at a Chinese immersion charter school as an after-school teacher, through which she found her passion and potential to teach young children. Since then, she started to take courses in Early Childhood Education and at the same time teach at a Bay Area private Chinese-Immersion preschool in Berkeley. Building on different teaching philosophies from my academic and work experiences and cultural background, she captured her dream of opening a play-based Chinese Immersion program and found Little Lamb in 2014. |
